Fayetteville Traditional Dance Society

The Fayetteville Traditional Dance Society is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of traditional American dance and music.

Please join us each month on the 3rd Saturday for an evening of contras, squares,  circles, and waltzes.  Admission is only $5 for two hours of fun and fellowship.  All dances are taught and called. No previous experience or partner is required. It’s easy and fun. Just a short walk through lesson and you’re ready to dance!

FTDS dances are  open to the public and are non-smoking. Dress is casual and we recommend flat comfortable shoes.   The doors open at 6:30PM and the dance begins at 7:00 with a short beginner instruction.

Beverages will be available for a donation at the dance. We recommend $2 minimum donation for bottled water, $3-$5 for other beverages. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Fayetteville Roots Festival organization.

All of our dances have live music  provided by The Old 78s.  You can find them at www.theold78s.com.
